General Dynamics in Suffolk awarded delivery orders totaling #036;79 million

General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems in Suffolk has been awarded eight delivery orders to continue support of the U.S. Joint Forces Command’s Joint Experimentation Program and Joint Futures Lab.

The orders total $79.3 million and include engineering, technical and administrative services for joint concept development and prototyping through July 31, 2006.

All of the work will be done in Suffolk, said Jacques Abadie, contracts manager for General Dynamic’s Joint Experimentation Program.

The newest round of orders follows a $92 million contract extension awarded in July 2005, raising the total value of the contract to $182.2 million. The contract includes options through 2009.

General Dynamics’ work will support the

Joint Forces’ mission of developing, exploring and assessing new joint war-fighting concepts, organizational structures and emerging technologies through experimentation.
