At the board’s annual retreat

last month, School Superintendent Dr. Milton Liverman asked board members to spend time prioritizing the items on the list.

Also, the board will hear reports on the middle school renovations and Creekside Elementary construction projects, the updated status of Standards of Learning accreditation throughout Suffolk’s schools, and a report from the Disability Awareness Committee.

Aside from the Thursday meeting, convocation for Suffolk Public School employees for the upcoming year is scheduled for August 25 for secondary and elementary instructional personnel, and for August 30 for support personnel.

Both events will be held at King’s Fork High School.
