Editor, the News-Herald:

On behalf of the Suffolk Sister Cities Commission, I wanted to thank you and your staff at the Suffolk News-Herald for the great publicity you gave to our first &uot;Festa Italiana.&uot; We are a group of volunteers who represent the seven boroughs in Suffolk. We have never attempted anything of this magnitude and feel like, despite the heat that weekend, the people who came to the fest had a great time.

Your staff did an outstanding job publicizing the event and showcasing the many talents of our visitors from Oderzo, Italy. We especially want to thank you for your kind editorial about the Suffolk Sister Cities Commission and the special insert to the paper listing the events.

In spite of not speaking Italian, I thought your reporters did a very good job conveying the enthusiasm of the Oderzo visitors for Suffolk and the United States. Forging friendships, promoting the arts and economic exchanges are the goals of our commission. Thank you again for the support of our hometown newspaper.
