Sutaan Rahyhime Clark

Sutaan Rahyhime Clark (Tan) of 524 Ashley Avenue and recently of 728 1/2 Battery Avenue, went to be with the Lord Monday, Aug. 29, 2005. Sutaan was a native of the Saratoga area of Suffolk. He was the son of Vernon F. Clark Sr. and Margarita Clark of Portsmouth.

Tan was a member of Faith Temple Ministries. He was a giving person and loved people. He had a special way to show his love for others. His door was always open trying to help those he thought needed him.

He leaves to cherish his parents, Vernon and Margarita Clark; two brothers, Vernon F. Clark Jr. of Butner, N.C. and Dontarius L. Clark of Newport News; one sister, Patrice L. Williams of Portsmouth; his maternal grandmother, Rosa Lee Alston of Suffolk; nine aunts, Willie Mae Mayfield (Carl), Rosetta Alson, Roser McKinley (Larry), Audrey Clark, Virginia Clark, Brenda Clark (Bailey) and Christine Mayes (Clarence), all of Suffolk, Elsie M. Taylor (Jeff) of Portsmouth and Everleana Clark of N.C.; nine uncles, James Alston, Elvie Lee Alson, Richard Clark (Florence), Calvin Clark, Reginald Clark (Peggy) and Walter Clark (Shirley), all of Suffolk, Jesse Clark of Waterburg, Conn., Robert Lee Clark (Vivian) of Trenton, N.J. and Vincent Clark (Sharon) of Ohio; one nephew, Khamari Clark of Newport News and a host of cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Virginia Clark and paternal grandfather, Walter Clark.

The homegoing service will be held at noon Saturday, Sept. 3, 2005 at Lakeview Missionary Baptist Church at 635 Brook Avenue. Interment will be held in Carver Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends at 511 Ashley Avenue. Crocker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
