John R. Halley

John Raymond Halley, 86, died Saturday morning at his home in Barboursville, W.Va.

He was predeceased by his wife, Rena Perry Halley, in 1992. A native of Gallipolis, Ohio, Mr. Halley was retired from Union Carbide Corp. in South Charleston, W.Va. He was a World War II Navy Veteran, a deacon in the Baptist Church, and a lifelong Christian.

Survivors include his three children, Eleanor Halley Womack and her husband, Jennings, of Greensburg, Pa.; the Rev. Michael D. Halley and his wife Carmen, of Suffolk; John Steven Halley and his fianc\u00E9 Janie P. Seagle, of Hickory, N.C.; and his six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Henson Mortuary, Huntington, W.Va.

The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday evening.
