The Hall Place Community Association, proudly established as &uot;the voice of Hall Place&uot; by the residents in 1988,

has good reason for optimism.

HPCA

is coming back strong after fending off efforts to change our successful conservation district into a historical district.

Our members just want to put all of these distractions behind us and focus on positive things for our neighborhood.

With a number of interesting speakers on our schedule, HPCA recently welcomed Suffolk’s new assistant city manager for development, Selena Cuffee-Glenn, to the September meeting.

She is very interested in working with us to further develop the well established conservation district that is in place, as it fits the needs of our neighborhood very nicely, without placing unnecessary restrictions and monetary strains on our friends and neighbors.

It was so refreshing to have this nice lady recognize the current success and future potential of this fine program, that is already in place.

This is exactly what we have been trying to get people to see all along, as we have worked hard for a number of years to get to this point.

We enjoyed her visit and appreciated her positive outlook, and certainly look forward to working with her.

Above all, Hall Place residents very much want to see life over here get back to normal as soon as possible.

It is hard for many longtime residents to understand all that has happened, because it so goes against the grain with these neighborly, trusting people.

The basic values of &uot;right and wrong&uot; don’t change in life, no matter how &uot;slick&uot; the production may be.
