Gators take 2nd in meet

Samantha Barbour won three races and David Forman and Jeff Goodwin two each as Suffolk took second to visiting Norfolk in a swim meet Saturday, their second meet of the season.

Ashley Petroski was the first Gator to win a race, snaring the Girls 6U freestyle. Will Arcand took second in the Boys 9-10 event, and Haleigh Wineman won the girls 13-14. David got the 8U boys race, and Taylor Berard was second in the Girls 8U. Samantha and Curtis Oliver won the 9-10 races, and Detrice Bickham was second in the Girls 11-12. Alex Peterson won the Boys 13-14, and Jeff got the Boys 15-18. Suffolk’s freestyle relay teams got second in the Mixed 6U and 8U, first and second in the Mixed 10U, and first in the Mixed 12U and 14U.

Curtis was second in the Boys 9-10 breastroke, and Jeff and Antonio Peterson were first and second in the Boys 15-18 event. Curtis was second in the Boys 10U individual medley, and Haleigh was second in the Girls 13-14. Jeff was second in the Boys 15-18.

Jesse Tillman won the Girls 6U backstroke, and David got the Boys 7-8 event. Will and Samantha won the 9-10 races, and T.J. Paull got the Boys 11-12. Haleigh was second in the Girls 13-14, as was Antonio in the Boys 15-18.

David and Taylor were second in the 8U fly races, and Samantha won the Girls 9-10. Sarah Bean took the Girls 13-14 race, and Suffolk was second in the Mixed 10U and 14U medley relays.
