When he’s at the Suffolk YMCA, Robert Holliman can get pretty aggressive.

&uot;I’m pretty tough,&uot; said the Lipton Tea employee between workouts and pick-up games on the basketball courts. &uot;I bring a lot to the table.&uot;

On Wednesday evening, it was the Ping-Pong table.

The Godwin Boulevard facility, of which Holliman’s been a member since 1990, held its first-ever table tennis tournament, and he and seven others (six alternates also signed up) hit the miniature Flushing Meadows in the Y’s upstairs game room.

And he got to acing.

&uot;I won my first game 15-8, my second 15-5, and my third 15-11,&uot; Holliman said proudly, hoisting his small trophy. &uot;We wanted to bring people together and let them play each others. I feel like I’m on top on the world!&uot;

That’s a feeling he’d like to experience again soon.

&uot;Absolutely,&uot; he said when asked if he hoped the tournaments would become a regular event. &uot;Next time, we’re going to have it in a place where there’s more space, so we can have better volley action.&uot;
