Martha Lee Burley Riddick, 83, of Eure, N.C., died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005 at Albemarle Hospital, Elizabeth City, N.C.

She was a native of Gates County, N.C.

She was preceded in death by her father Roscoe Thorne, mother Melvinia Burley and husband Charlie L. Riddick.

Survivors include daughters Audrey Walker, of Elizabeth City, Maude Riddick of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Evelyn Riddick, of Chesapeake; sons Charlie Riddick (Annie) of Alcolu, S.C., Michael Riddick (Brenda) of Ahoskie, N.C., Jarvis Riddick, of Brooklyn, Willie Riddick (Bertha) of Gates N.C., and George Riddick; sisters Estelle Malone (Simal), of Baltimore and Helen Boone (Johnny) of Suffolk; 23 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005, at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, Sunbury, N.C., with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation and viewing will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, 2005 at Stallings Funeral Chapel, Gatesville, N.C.

The family will receive friends at the home of the deceased, 440 White Oak Road, Eure, N.C.
