Walter and Pamela Carter, of Suffolk, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Sara Carter to Stephen Kiger, son of Randy and Barbara Kiger, of Suffolk.

The wedding will take place at 10 a.m. Dec. 20 at the Mills E. Godwin (Suffolk) Courthouse.

Stephen is a graduate of Lakeland High School, Class of 2003, and is currently in basic training with the U.S. Army at Ft. Jackson in Columbia, S.C. He is training to become a computer technician.
