Mary Lee January

Mary Lee January, 95, passed away Dec. 27, 2005, after a long illness, in Miami Beach, Fla.
She was a resident of Suffolk, Va., for 60 years and the wife of Hilary January (deceased).
She was a lifetime member of Hadassah, The Women’s Zionist organization-a member of the National Board and the Regional President.
She was a major fundraiser for the state of Israel from its inception.
Mary Lee was involved in many civic activities in Virginia.
She is survived by her son Irving Philip January, daughter Harriet January Weinstein (Dr. Morton Weinstein); three grandchildren Dr. Debra Weinstein-Schlein (Dr. Andrew Schlein), Jan Weinstein-Rosenfeld (Gary Rosenfeld) and David Weinstein; five great grandchildren Sarah, Eliza, Jacob, Levi and Hillary.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed by all.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, at 11 a. m. at the graveside in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk, by Rabbi Arthur Ruberg. Memorial donations may be made to Hadassah, 50 West 58th Street, New York City, N.Y., 10019 or the American Cancer Society, 604 Constance Woods Drive, Suffolk, Va., 23434.
