In the 1998 comedy &uot;The Waterboy,&uot; Adam Sandler became Bobby Boucher, who tore through opposing football offensive lines, ready to crush an unsuspecting quarterback and running backs.

On Thursday night, Bobby’s Nansemond-Suffolk Academy female namesake did the same to Windsor – except a bit less aggressively.

Michelle Boucher led her team to its second decisive win in three days, scoring 11 points and yanking down eight rebounds in the Lady Saints’ 58-39 win over the host Lady Dukes (they charged past Greenbrier Christian Tuesday). Ellen Giermak and Kaitlin Edwards had 10 points each for NSA.

&uot;This helps our confidence,&uot; Boucher said. &uot;We know what we’re capable of.&uot;

She had eight points in the first quarter to life NSA to a 17-9 lead, which got to 30-16 at halftime. Windsor cut things to 32-25 in the first five minutes of the third quarter, but Edwards, Giermak, Parris Grieder and Courtney White led their team on a 12-2 run in the remainder. Edwards and Lauren Boggard scored five points each in the fourth quarter.

NSA’s tough week concluded Friday night when they headed to Hampton Roads Academy (not finished at press time). They’ll go to Western Branch Monday.
