A woman accused of using drugs and threatening her daughter is being held in Western Tidewater Regional Jail without bond, according to police.

Robin Michelle Peacock, 44, of Portsmouth, was charged Monday with contributing to the delinquency of a minor after being stopped by police on Olde Town Point Road, said Lt. Debbie J. George, spokeswoman for the Suffolk Police Department.

Officer S.M. Fellers, the investigating police officer, reported that Peacock appeared nervous when he stopped her car, George said. The 10-year-old girl in the car with her appeared frightened.

Peacock allegedly smoked narcotics in the presence of the child, then threatened to make her perform sexual acts, George said. Police found drug paraphernalia in Peacock’s car, she added.

The investigation is continuing and may result in other charges, George said.

The child has been turned over to the custody of her father, George said.

Over the weekend, police charged another woman, Shertina Quizdel Stevenson-Felton, 30, with driving under the influence of alcohol and abuse/neglect of children, according to police reports.

Stevenson-Felton’s 6-year-old daughter was in the car at the time of her arrest on Portsmouth Boulevard Saturday, according to police.

Police are also investigating a stabbing that occurred around noon Tuesday in the 800 block of West Constance Road, near Suffolk West Shopping Center.

The victim, Tommy Ray Collins, 27, of Franklin, suffered minor cuts on his arm and stomach, said George. He was taken to Sentara Obici Hospital for treatment, George said.

“We believe he knows his attacker,” said George.

Collins is not cooperating with police, she said.
