Mrs. Joann K. Jennings, of 3806 Augustine Circle, Portsmouth, went into eternal life on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at Maryview Hospital.

She was a native of New Jersey.

She was formerly employed at Rally Burgers and at J.C. Penny’s Store.

She is predeceased by her mother Virginia Nelson and her adopted mother Candance Hohney, as well as her sister Kathleen Andrews. Joann is survived by her husband Darryl Jennings, and her father Paul Hohney. JoAnn will be lovingly missed by her four daughters, Juanita Andrews, Norreeda Andrews, Vallene Andrews and Terrie Morton, all of New Jersey. She will also be lovingly missed by her four sons Travis Andrews and Kenneth Andrews of New Jersey, Kevon Morton of Delaware and Kevin Morton of Philadelphia. She leaves to mourn her, five grandchildren, along with her four brothers and six sisters.

A Home-going Service will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at Canaan Baptist Church, Suffolk at noon. Visitation will begin on Monday at 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. at Harris Funeral Home Inc., 685 Carolina Road, Suffolk. Interment will be at Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery immediately following the service. The Rev. Robert L. Barnes III will be officiating.

The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Butts, 5925 Bradford Drive, Suffolk. The family will assemble at

5925 Braford Drive, Northern Suffolk at 11 a.m. on Tuesday for the funeral procession
