Carlos and Sharon Futrell are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter, Shynika B. Grandison, to Devon I. Shovall, son of Carolyn Jenice Shovall and the late Emmitt Dale Cherry, future step-son of Clifton Harrell.

The bride-to-be is a 2003 graduate of Lakeland High School and is currently a crew leader at Hardee’s.

The groom-to-be is a 2002 graduate of Lakeland High School and is currently a forklift operator at Tidewater Block.

A June 3, 2006 wedding is planned at 130 Maple St., in Suffolk, the home of the groom’s mother.

Following a honeymoon, the couple will make their home in Suffolk.
