Patton and Davis united

Melissa Sue Patton and Joshua Randall Davis, both formerly of Suffolk, were united in marriage on May 20, 2006 in a ceremony overlooking the ocean at the Sheraton Oceanfront Hotel in Virginia Beach. The ceremony was performed by Melissa’s brother, Steven Patton, Jr., also of Suffolk.

The bride wore a diamond white strapless wedding dress that laced up her back. It was covered with Australian crystals and a sheer overlay from the Petra line designed by Maggie Centera. Her veil was also diamond white with Australian crystals from the Edward Berger collection. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of 24 orange roses.

The matron of honor was the bride’s aunt, LeeAnn Liebler of Williamsburg. Bridesmaids were close friends, Robyn Croft of Harrisonburg, and Marcy Robertson of Suffolk. The bride’s court wore dresses from the Jasmine collection design by B2. Their colors were tangerine-orange, sage-green, and chardonnay-yellow. Their color scheme was carried throughout the wedding and reception.

The flower girl was the bride’s cousin, Madison Liebler of Williamsburg. Madison wore a long white dress accented with pearls and carried a basket of daises.

The bride’s aunt, Tammy Patton of Suffolk, served as the mistress of ceremonies.

The groom wore a black tuxedo from the Tommy Hilfiger collection with a white vest. His groomsmen accompanied him in the same attire and had coordinating vests with the bridesmaids. The best man was the grooms close friends, Jeff Williams of Atlanta, Ga. Groomsmen were cousin Michael Goode of Matthews, N.C. and close friend Eric Knox of Blacksburg.

The newlyweds cruised around the western Caribbean for their honeymoon. They will reside in Bristow.
