Bryant marries Gwaltney

Jessica Michelle Bryant and Wesley Allen Gwaltney were married on May 6, 2006 at Goat-Hill Farm Estate overlooking the James River in Manakin-Sabot. The outdoor ceremony was performed by the Rev. Carl Howard.

Jessica is the daughter of Mrs. Cheryl H. Arrington of Powhatan and Mr. Lester R. Bryant of Manakin-Sabot and the granddaughter of Mrs. Mildred Bryant and the late Mr. Bryant of Goochland and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hawk of Maidens.

Wesley is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard A. Gwaltney of Suffolk and the grandson of Mrs. Doris H. Gomer and the late O.L. Gomer and Mrs. Foy C. Gwaltney and the late Robert A. Gwaltney, all of Suffolk.

The bride’s sister, Lauren Bryant of Manakin-Sabot, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Brandy Trolley of Louisa, Mrs. Courtney Carballeira of Carbondale, Co. and Mrs. Anna Bryant of Maidens. Flowergirls were Miss Amanda Bryant, Miss Keegan Fulton and Miss Catherine Bryant. Ring bearer was Master William-Hunter Arrington, brother of the bride.

Wesley’s father, Richard A. Gwaltney, served as best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Matthew R. Gwaltney of Suffolk, brother of the groom, Mr. Richard Palmer of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.,

and Mr. Brian Squires of Chesapeake.

Jessica is the graduate of Goochland High School and received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science from Virginia Tech. She is currently teaching at Powhatan High School in Powhatan.

Wesley is a graduate of Nansemond-Suffolk Academy and received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science from Virginia Tech. He is employed with the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Wytheville.

Following a wedding trip to Charleston, S.C., the couple will reside in Manakin-Sabot and Radford.
