Edith Baum Evans, 59, of Camden, N.C., died in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Wednesday, August 2, 2006. She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Corrine Morrison Baum and the wife of Leslie “Buddy” Evans, Jr. She was a Baptist and worked as a Secretary for Intra-Coastal Cabinets, Inc.

Other than her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Judkins of Suffolk, Va. and Laurie Shurrin of Harrisburg, Pa.; two sisters, Julie B. Baum of Jarvisburg, N.C., Dorothy B. Markee of Elizabeth City, N.C. and one brother, Danyn Baum of Elizabeth City, N.C.; five grandchildren, Shannon Judkins Rohme, Candace Faye Judkins, Leslie Ann Judkins, Christopher Brent Knight and Wade Ashton Knight; and a great grandson, Christopher Michael Rohme, Jr.

A funeral service will be Saturday, August 5, 2006 at 11 a.m. in Twiford’s Memorial Chapel with the Rev. David Moehring officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, August 4, 2006, from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home and also in the lobby immediately following the service.
