A good deal for 20 bucks

You are invited to a party next month, along with 1,499 of your closest friends. And it only costs $20.

For that amount of money, you will be entitled to enter the Nosh on the Nansemond and sample foods from all across Suffolk. And, if you are so inclined, your ticket also entitles you to a few drinks.

What a great way to get together with friends and neighbors, and maybe even make some new friends.

And the best part is — every penny spent for those 1,500 tickets goes to the United Way of South Hampton Roads, which in turn goes to people right here in Suffolk who are in need.

Maybe you have been wondering what some of the restaurants in the city are like. What’s their specialty?

Well, this is your chance to find out.

Dozens of chefs will be there that evening (5-10 p.m. at Constant’s Wharf, next to the Hilton Garden Inn and Conference Center) cooking up their best dishes.

And since you already got in, you will be able to sample them.

Tickets are only available through advance sales, and they are going fast. See today’s story for details on where to get yours.

See you at the Nosh!
