Deacon Odell Hurdle, 91, of Belvidere, N.C., died Aug. 24, in New York.

He was a retired logger and self employed.

He was a native of Gates County, N.C.

He is surived by his wife Eva Hurdle, of New York; daughters Virginia Brooks, Florazell Vaughan, Carolyn Hinton, all of Cambria, N.Y., and Reatha Ward of Greensboro, N.C.; sons Earnest Hurdle, of Hempstead, N.Y. and Nurney Hurdle of Willingboro, N.J.; and grandchilren Patrice H. Dickey and Mauric Hinton, both of Cambria, N.Y.

A service will be held Sept. 2, at 2 p.m. at Riddick Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Belvidere, N.C.

Viewing will be at noon at the church.

The Rev. Williams Sawyer will officiate.

Hertford County, N.C., Undertakers is in charge of the arrangements.
