Guinevere (Guin) R. Elliott died at Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk on Friday, Aug. 25. At the time of her death, she had been residing in Suffolk with her son, Mike, and his wife, Tammie.

Guin was born in Calhoun County, W.Va., on Aug. 27, 1926. Her parents were Coy and Luerna Robinson.

Guin married Robert (Tuck) Elliot on Nov. 22, 1945 in Grantsville, W.Va. They were married for 49 years.

Guin was a member of First Baptist Church of Grantsville.

Guin worked at Rubber Fabricators, County Clerk’s Office and retired from the Calhoun Library.

Guin is survived by her son, Michael (wife, Tammie); daughters, Nancy (husband, Stu) and Bobi (husband, Jim). Her grandchildren are Sara and Paul Elliott, Bryan and Erin Metz, and Shane and Marc Wilson. Great-grandchildren are Branwyn and Tatum Elliott, Monica and Ian Wilson, and Alex and Quinn Wilson.

Guin was preceded in death by her husband, Tuck; parents, Coy and Luerna; sisters, Lurland, Gertrude and Greta; and brother, Harold.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at the Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville, W.Va., where friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Bethlehem Cemetery, Grantsville.
