On Wednesday night, the Suffolk City Council approved a rezoning request that will allow this new development to move forward.
The development is the first of its kind in Suffolk and will generate more than 2,000 jobs in the process. This is definitely a great step for the city of Suffolk. It’s common knowledge that with that many additional jobs that there will be a massive economic impact in regard to education, commerce and tax base for the city.
Suffolk is on the move once again. It’s great to have a vision and a plan. The plan of the Hampton Roads Crossing is one that will carve the way for more development and hopefully more jobs and a positive economic impact for Suffolk.
The council did a smart thing by approving this request for not only the benefit of the city of Suffolk but more importantly for the 2,000 plus people who will gain employment from this project.
