Respect Mother Nature

We have had two recent reminders of what Mother Nature can do when she gets angry.

Last week, during the Thanksgiving storm, a man was nearly swept away when his truck became bogged down in high water. He had to be rescued by the fire department.

The last couple of days we have had very thick fog in the morning, making driving dangerous.

We must all respect the power of Mother Nature and what her foul weather can do.

From heavy rain, to deep snow, from fog to ice, she can make driving dangerous.

Make sure you prepare well in advance of any traveling, even it it is just across town.

Listen to the local weather reports, check out the highway conditions online.

Make sure your car is prepared. Bald tire don’t work well on wet or snow-covered roads. They can even be dangerous in the best of conditions. Poor wipers and wet weather are a recipe for disaster.

Also check those brakes and your lights.

Make sure you and your car are ready for bad weather.
