A woman is dead and a man hospitalized in Norfolk following an early morning shooting in downtown Suffolk Sunday.

Police responded to a call of a person yelling just before 7 a.m. to the 200 block of Grace Street, where they report finding two people shot in an apartment.

A 19-year-old woman was dead at the scene, according to the police.

The man, 36, was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he underwent surgery upon arrival.

Neither victim has been identified.

Police are looking for George L. Riddick, 23. They did not say whether Riddick was a suspect or simply wanted for questioning.
