It was Tuesday, during an autopsy, that it was discovered that Johnson, 63, had died of a gunshot wound according to police.

This is the city’s second homicide since Sunday. That morning, Vogentina Stephens, 19, was found shot to death in her Grace Street apartment. Her uncle, Eddie Walker Jr., 36, was found wounded. He’s in a Norfolk hospital.

Police later arrested the dead woman’s boyfriend, George L. Riddick III, who lived at the apartment, and charged him with one count of homicide; one count of aggravated malicious wounding; one count of shooting in an occupied dwelling; two counts of shooting, stabbing or wounding; and two counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
