Kudos to the students

If you have been reading this newspaper in the past few days, you have seen us running a lengthy list of names of those students in our public schools who have made the President’s List and the Honor Roll.

The list is so long we had to cut it up into several days in order to get them all in.

As far as we are concerned, it is well worth the ink it took to recognize the hard work of these young men and women.

It’s tough to do well in school, and even harder to excel, what with all of the

extra-curricular activities, perhaps a part-time job and other youthful distractions.

But these students, hundreds of them, were not deterred or distracted.

This list of names speaks volumes of the work done by the students, the teachers, the administrators and the parents. Without those last three … well, we’d be writing about something else today, that’s for sure.

We don’t know what an ‘A’ or “B’ is worth these days in cash, but we do know how valuable it is to the future of these youngsters and our community.

Kudos for all of the hard work. Keep it up and make us all proud.
