PORTSMOUTH — Mrs. Carrie Lea Wiggins Roberts, 86, of 1410 Lindsay Ave., Portsmouth, died on Dec. 15, in Beverly Manor of Portsmouth. She was a native of Isle of Wight County and a daughter of the late Lee Wiggins and Helen Tyler Wiggins. She was the widower of Alfred Roberts and preceded in death by three sisters and seven brothers.

She was a member of Chapel Grove United Church of Christ where she was a member of the deaconess board and the choir.

She leaves to cherish her memories, a devoted friend Leroy Harrell; a goddaughter Paige M. Stewart; one sister Florence Wiggins; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 20, at 1 p.m. at Chapel Grove United Church of Christ by the Rev. H. Carlyle Church Jr. and the Rev. J.J. Ferguson.

Interment will be held in Chapel Grove Church Cemetery.

The body will be placed in the church at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
