Benny Sherman, of Mechanicsville, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 27. He is survived by his wife, Terrie Sherman; daughter, Tiffany Sherman; mother Doris Norris; brother Mike Sherman; sister Marie Crutchfield; and nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, at the Mechanicsville Chapel, Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee Davis Road, Mechanicsville. Interment will be private. Flowers will be accepted or memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, Va., 23060.
