A former coach accused of sexual misconduct with a teenage member of his swim team is facing new felony charges.

A Suffolk Circuit Court grand jury on Wednesday indicted Jeffrey Steven Woodyard, a former coach at the Nansemond Swim Club, on five counts of indecent liberties with a child, two counts each of child pornography production and using electronics to procure minors, and one count each of using a computer to solicit minors and child pornography solicitation.

Police arrested Woodyard, 22, of the 1500 block of Woodspath Lane, in August for allegedly sending sexually explicit photographs over his cell phone to a 16-year-old male. According to police, he encouraged the teenager to send photographs back to him via text message.
