Mrs. Marion (Very Heavy) Alberta Harvey, 414 Reno St. (Saratoga), went into eternal sleep on Nov. 26, 2008 in the Nansemond Point Nursing Home. Marion attended school in Bertie County, N.C. She was a member of the Antioch UCC Church, Suffolk.
Marion was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Harvey, her parents, Taylor Jones and Elizabeth King, and a sister, Shelia Owens.
Her survivors include two sisters, Mary Askew (Eloyd), of Suffolk, Rosa Wesson (J.D.), of Windsor, N.C.; two brothers, Taylor Jones (Cathy) and Theodore Gowens (Michelle), both of Philadelphia, Pa.; a devoted friend, Marvin Jackson, and nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral of triumph will be held on Monday, Dec. 1, 2008 at 1 p.m. at the Antioch UCC Church, Kilby and Hull avenues (Saratoga). The Rev. Jarvis Jones will officiate.
