Hazel Ruth Worton, 74, of Suffolk, passed away on Dec. 12, 2008. A native of Columbia, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Edward and Inez Wharton and was also predeceased by her sister, Jeanette Yosai.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Leonard Worton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and Kenneth Kestas, of Naperville, Ill., and Julie and Randy Fiel, of Suffolk; one son, Michael L. and Donna Worton, of Albuquerque, N.M.; seven grandchildren, Tony Lee, Michael and Julie Kestas and Rachael, Hazel, Randi Lynn and Laura Fiel; and one brother, Joe Wharton, of Las Vegas, Nev.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, Dec. 15, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk. Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family for visitation. Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
