Public’s budget input sought

The city of Suffolk will hear citizen input on the 2009-2010 spending plan during two public meetings this month.
The first meeting is set for Wednesday, from 2 to 4 p.m., in the City Council Chambers at the municipal center, located at 441 Market Street. The second meeting will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Jan. 22 in the library at Nansemond River High School, 3301 Nansemond Parkway.
Residents are encouraged to attend the meetings to offer staff members their suggestions and to discuss fiscal issues of importance.
