Ronald Eugene (Ronn) Willie passed on Dec. 22, 2008 in Oakland, Calif. He was a native of Suffolk, Va., and the son of Emma Willie and the late William (June) H. Willie Jr.
He was a 1972 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. He attended both Virginia State College (University) in Petersburg, Va., and San Jose State University in San Jose, Calif., where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in education. He was presently employed as a math teacher with the Oakland Unified School District.
A funeral service was held Friday, Jan. 2, 2009 at Fuller Funeral Chapel in Oakland, Calif. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, at 5 p.m. at Canaan Baptist Church, 2064 Nansemond Parkway, Suffolk, Va.
