Mary Vivian Gardner Gregory died Friday, Jan. 23, 2009. She was 90. Born in Norfolk, she was the daughter of William Elbert and Verna Gardner. She was a lifelong member of the Suffolk Christian Church, Suffolk, and was the bookkeeper at Byrum Hardware for many years.
She is survived by her daughter, Jane G. Savage, and husband J.A. of Tampa, Fla.; granddaughters, Ashley S. Marchetti and Lindsay Savage, both of Tampa, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Dylan and Ella Marchetti.
A graveside funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009 at 2 p.m. in Olive Branch Cemetery, by the Rev Michael D. Halley. The family will receive friends in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory, 509 West Washington St., Suffolk Tuesday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
