Lonnie Perry

Mr. Lonnie E. Perry, of 1303 Whitemarsh Road, Suffolk, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, at Nansemond Pointe. He was a native of Corapeake, N.C., and the son of the late Arthur Perry and Mary Outlaw Perry.
He was a member of Antioch United Church of Christ, where he served as a deacon and on the usher ministry.
He was retired from General Electric, where he worked as a forklift driver.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Mildred Perry, of Suffolk; one daughter, Betty Wynn, of New York; three sons, Lonnie R. Perry (Yvette), Edward Mizell, both of Suffolk, Va., and Clifton Mizelle, of New York; 20 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Gwen Perry; a great host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
The body will be placed in the church, Antioch United Church of Christ, at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009. A service of remembrance will be held at 11:30 a.m., with the Rev. Jarvis Jones officiating.
