Dr. Rosa Leigh Williams, 60, of the 500 block of Barlow Drive, died March 14, 2009, after a long illness.
Dr. Williams was a native of Suffolk.
She was preceded in death by her father, Simmon Knight Sr. and mother, Ida May Bailey; husband, Raymond E. Williams; brothers, Leroy Knight and Robert Drayton; and grandmother, Rosa C. Knight.
She retired from civil service after 30 years of service. She was a member of Gates of Heaven Church of God in Christ and the Sparketts.
Survivors include daughter, Minister Faye Okolo Holland and husband, Calvin, of Suffolk; sons, Michael Knight and Raymond Wiggins and wife, Tracy, both of Suffolk; sister, Nanie Williams; brothers, Albert L. Knight and Rudolph Bailey; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at noon Saturday at New Mount Joy Food For Living Ministries with Elder Sylvester Silver of Gates of Heaven Church of God in Christ officiating.
Burial will follow in Carver Cemetery.
State official service third jurisdiction, a mother and servant of the Lord who can’t be replaced.
Family and friends will assemble at 509 Barlow St., one hour prior to the service.
