Having just received my copy of “The Heart of Suffolk” and having thoroughly enjoyed all the many pictures and sketches of all the people who put their time and energy into making it a success, I was rather stunned that one person in particular was not mentioned.

I know the time and effort, plus the multiple donations she worked so diligently to get, and somehow she was totally overlooked in any credit.

Her name, Pearl Harrell, is one that I am sure you will recognize.

She happens to be the president of the Cultural Center at the present time. It really is quite an omission by the book’s creators.

I lived in Suffolk for many years and went to Suffolk High School. I appreciate the effort that was put into this project.

Congratulations to Suffolk and its community for supporting this historical moment.
