William “Jerry” Jones Sr., 67, of Warrenton, Va., died April 13, 2009 in Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.
William was born June 3, 1941. He was a custodian.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Jones, of Warrenton, Va.; his daughter, Dr. Carla D. Jones, of Charlotte, N.C., his son, W. Jerry Jones Jr., of Charlotte, N.C.; and two stepbrothers, Howard Almond, of Chesterfield, Va., and Raymond Almond, of Chesapeake, Va.
A funeral will be held Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 39 Alexandria Pike, Warrenton, Va., with the Rev. Matthew A. Zimmerman Jr. presiding and the Rev. David Carter eulogizing. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment will be held Monday, April 20, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Carver Memorial Cemetery, Suffolk, Va.
