Dr. William Henry Parker Jr., of 1519 Canterford Court, Virginia Beach, Va., died May 14, 2009 at his Waverly residence.
He was an associate professor at Norfolk State University and a former science teacher in the Suffolk city school system.
A funeral service will be held at noon Saturday, May 23, 2009 in Good Shepherd Baptist Church, Petersburg, Va. A wake will be held Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Peace-Bland Funeral Home, Waverly, Va. Peace-Bland Funeral Home is handling arrangements
