I would like to compliment Andrew Giermak and The Suffolk News Herald on the coverage of the Virginia State Amateur Golf Tournament, which took place at Cedar Point Country Club in Suffolk this past week.

I live at Cedar Point , attended the tournament and found Mr. Giermak’s articles on June 26 and June 28 to be both accurate and very readable accounts of what occurred. I think he is a talented writer.

This was a golf tournament with the most talented amateur golfers in Virginia, a tournament that Suffolk and Cedar Point CC were fortunate to host, and your coverage was worthy of the wonderful amateur golf that took place in Suffolk this past week.
