GREENVILLE, N.C. — Mrs. Marion Morgan Kirkpatrick, 83, died Thursday, July 9, 2009 at her home.
The funeral service will be conducted Monday at 10 a.m. in St. James United Methodist Church. A private committal service will be in Suffolk, Va.
Mrs. Kirkpatrick, a native of Holland, Va., was a graduate of Chuckatuck High School, and attended James Madison University. She had been a resident of Berkeley Springs, W.V., and had made her home in Greenville in 1989. She was an active member of the Ladies Golf Association at Brook Valley Country Club. Mrs. Kirkpatrick was a member of St. James United Methodist Church, where she was in Circle One.
She was preceded in death by her two brothers.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, E. Stuart Kirkpatrick; daughter, Pamela K. Gersch and husband, Mark, of Chico, Calif.; sons, Douglas Kirkpatrick and wife, Asami, of Tacoma Park, Md., and Craig Kirkpatrick and wife, Debra, of Knoxville, Md.; grandchildren, Eric and Megan Kirkpatrick and Andrew Gersch; three brothers; and two sisters.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
