It appears heavy winds, strong rain and constant lightning are no recipe for Hotcakes.

Friday afternoon, city officials announced the cancellation of the evening’s TGIF Concert at Constant’s Wharf featuring The Hotcakes. The concert was being presented by the Nansemond Suffolk Academy Alumni Association.

This was to be the final concert in the downtown series. The TGIF program is scheduled to resume on Friday, July 31 at Bennett’s Creek Park, located at 3000 Bennett’s Creek Park in North Suffolk. The concert will feature the Rhondels.

The TGIF Concert Series is sponsored by Bronco Federal Credit Union, Pender and Coward, The Suffolk News-Herald and The Addison Group.
