SUFFOLK, Va. — Angela Denice Tate Hitch, (Angie), 54, formerly of Salisbury, died Friday, July 17, 2009 at her home in Suffolk, Va.
Born in Bridgetown, Va., she was the daughter of Armilla Tate of Salisbury and the late George Ed Tate.
She was a 1972 graduate of Wicomico Senior High School and received an A.A. degree as a medical assistant from Kee Business College in Norfolk, Va.
She was employed with Map Mobile Communications of Suffolk.
She was a member of New Piney Wood Chapel Baptist Church in Gates, N.C., and a former member of Wesley Temple United Methodist Church in Salisbury.
Besides her mother, she is survived by two sons: Anthony Hitch, of Portsmouth, and Steven Hitch, of Webster, Texas; two granddaughters: Shyneece and Kailyn Hitch; two sisters: Janet (Thomas) Hudson and Terry (Ernest) Edwards, all of Suffolk; one brother Tony (Georgette) Tate of Salisbury; two aunts, four uncles, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at noon Friday, July 24, 2009 at Wesley Temple United Methodist Church in Salisbury, where friends may call two hours prior to the service. Interment will be in Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron.
Funeral services are entrusted to Jolley Memorial Chapel of Salisbury, Md.
