Timothy Demiel

PORTSMOUTH — On Sunday, July 19, 2009, many lost a saint, friend, brother and mentor, and Heaven gained another angel. Timothy Demiel, 54, worked as a lofter supervisor for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard with 30 years of service. He was predeceased by his father, Isaac Demiel Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memories, mother Catherine Demiel, wife of 15 years, Cheryl Demiel, his son, Marcus Demiel, daughters, Kelly Winborne (Jonathan), Patrice Sexton (DaJonn(, Tyesha Williams, and Robyn Williams; five grandchildren, Malik, Daronte and Dijon Winborne, Miasya and Neivyn Williams; his sisters, Elaine Beamon (George), Sylvia Whitfield (Curtis Sr.), Claris White (Andrew), Effrie Peterson, Faye Demiel; brother, Jonathan Demiel, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. All who were blessed to know him admired his sense of humor, his words of encouragement, and his generosity. People knew him for his fun-loving personality, always keeping a smile on his face and best for his creativity and passion for building.
A funeral will be conducted on Friday, July 24, 2009 at Gethsemane Baptist Church, 1656 Copeland Road, Suffolk, Va., at 11 a.m. The wake will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 23 at Corprew Funeral Home, 1822 Portsmouth Blvd.
