Shelton King Jr.

SUFFOLK — Shelton Nathaniel King Jr., 87, of 122 South Eleventh St., Suffolk, passed away July 29, 2009 in the comfort of his residence. A native of Suffolk, he was the son of the late Shelton King Sr. and Lizzie King, and the widower of Shirley A. King.
Mr. King was a veteran and a retired farmer. He was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his nieces, nephews and friends, Joan Armstrong, Jean Peoples, Dianne Peoples, Barbara Knight, Betty Knight, William Mason and Joe Parrish and Bernita Parrish.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at noon Monday, Aug. 3, 2009 at the graveside in the Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, officiated by the Rev. Larry Parker.
