In reference to U.S. Rep. Randy Forbes’ (R-4th) recent visit to the Guantanamo naval Base and to the war prisoners who are held there:

Try the war prisoners, or release them and close the prison. The Guantanamo Naval Base should be closed and given back to Cuba.

The idea that we do not have prisons in the United States that can hold those found guilty is ridiculous.

The money saved by closing this unneeded base and returning it to Cuba would pay for much of a health care plan for all Americans. No one in America should ever have to file bankruptcy or lose his or her home to pay for medical care.

I would hope that Randy Forbes would support a health care plan for all.
