Mrs. Pauline J. Staton , 600 Cannon Street( Saratoga) went into eternal sleep in Nansemond Point Nursing Home on Friday, August 7, 2009. She was predeceased by her husband, Clyde S. Staton, Sr. and a son, Clyde Staton, Jr. and her parents Luther N. and Lula Clayton Jenkins. She was a faithful member of Lakeview Missionary Baptist Church. Her survivors include her daughter, Paulette Staton, Richmond, Va., one sister, Annie L. King of Suffolk , a brother Dr. Elton Ray Jenkins of Sumpter ,S. Carolina ,two grand daughters Kimberly C. Staton of Atlanta Georgia and Erica Staton of Suffolk. And a host of other relatives.
A Funeral of Triumph will be held Monday, August 10,2009 at 12 noon at the Lakeview Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. John E. Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Carver memorial Cemetery. The Family will receive friends at the home of her sister, Annie King ,601 Brook Ave. Harris Funeral Home has been entrusted with the home going Service.
