Residents of about 175 homes in the Riverfront area of Suffolk will be without water service for about four hours on Wednesday while a fire hydrant is being repaired.

The scheduled interruption will affect homes along Bay Breeze Drive, Bay Shore Lane, Dock Landing Court, Crystal Bay Circle, Harbour Pointe Drive, Osprey Court, Watchharbour Court, Inlet Place, Cattail Cove and N. James Drive.

The shutdown will take place from 9 a.m. to about 1 p.m. If the project must be rescheduled, it will take place during the same hours on Aug. 27.
