Not glorifying, but rejoicing in blessings

I am the mother of the two teenage sisters who had two boys on the same day.

First, allow me to apologize to the readers who seem to have my children’s and grandchildren’s future planned. I am sorry that you have no understanding.

I think a more appropriate idea for the article would have been that it has never been reported locally that two babies were born to the same family on the same day, except when they were twins. Also, it was a first for Sentara Obici Hospital.

As for promoting teen pregnancy, have you come out from under that rock you have been under lately? We don’t have to promote it; it’s just happening, probably in your own families, too.

Unlike you, I will support and guide my children, no matter their mistakes, for we have all sinned and come short of God’s glory.

I’m happy to know that you were all happily married when all your children were born. But there are those of us who were not and who understand that we are all here by God’s grace and are imperfect beings striving for perfection.

And yes, I did guide my children before they did it. In fact, I raised them in church. But just like you and me, they sinned and are forgiven. I am very proud of my girls. They did not take a coward’s way out and kill their children. Like you mothers, they accepted what they did, went through their pain and are preparing themselves to move forward.

Statistically speaking, people who were born to rich parents and later grow up to use drugs or commit other crimes would end up on assistance if they were not being hidden by mommy and/or daddy’s money.

Both of my daughters work and need nothing from you. And I will continue to support and love my children and their children. Because of the love that is within us, we can love and support you and yours, too.

Thank you for your attacks, for we count it all joy and still give God the glory.

“Before I formed thee in the belly, I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb, I sanctified thee.” (Jeremiah 1:5) “Be not afraid of their faces, for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord.” (Jeremiah 1:8)

Please let me know when you do something for the youth other than read the paper and criticize.

We are not glorifying the act of unwed teen pregnancy, but rejoicing in the blessings and glory of God. We live and we learn as we learn to live.
