In the second straight King’s Fork home game lost due to light pole problems, the Bulldogs must call Nansemond River’s Arrowhead Stadium home.

No matter where the game’s being played, if King’s Fork is to keep its preseason goal of making the playoffs intact, the Bulldogs must turn their season around starting tonight.

The Bulldogs gave Oscar Smith a better game than most last Friday, but still fell to 0-3. Indian River is also 0-3 after a 17-14 loss to Deep Creek. This is Indian River’s worst start to a season since 2001.

By last year’s records, Deep Creek’s win was an upset. So far this year though, other than Oscar Smith’s dominance, the Southeastern District’s had a number of surprises. Indian River trailed the Hornets 10-0 until scoring twice late in the fourth period to go ahead 14-10. Deep Creek answered the second touchdown with a 99-yard kickoff return for a game-winning touchdown.
